Ano Haydn IV - a terminar

Está no seu fim o Ano Haydn. Passada a efeméride, os seus geniais trios, quartetos, sonatas, concertos e sinfonias hão-de se manter regularmente em audição... Criador de várias formas de composição, devo-lhe também a boa disposição em música: transparece na sua obra o feitio bondoso e risonho que sempre manteve apesar das enormes contrariedades que enfrentou.

Duas obras populares bem conhecidas: da sinfonia no. 6, "a manhã", o 1º andamento; e a canzonetta em inglês "mermaid's song", A canção da Sereia.
